Customs Boss harps on imbibing the values of EID-EL-ADHA

As we gather to celebrate Eid-el-Adha, the Comptroller General of Customs, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, extends his warmest wishes to all Nigerians, stating that this joyous occasion is a pointer to the values of sacrifice, compassion and unity.

In a press statement signed by the Customs National Public Relations Officer, CSC ABDULLAHI MAIWADA, the CGC enjoins all Nigerians to embrace the life of service exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

He urges them to imbibe the values of sacrifice and duty that are necessary to build the nation of our dream.

His words : “I wish to advise that we come together, united as one, to celebrate the spirit of Eid-el-Adha by sharing the joyous moments with our loved ones and taking time to appreciate the blessings we have been granted”.

He encouraged all officers and men to use this season for reflection on the sacred responsibilities placed on them, to serve as catalysts in Nigerian economic growth and development.

He admonished them to demonstrate the importance of compassion and generosity not only towards their immediate families and friends but also to those in need.

He reiterated his commitment to implementing pragmatic steps that will shape a brighter future predicated on the safety, security and economic stability of our dear nation. Amidst the demands of such duties, the CGC emphasised the need to reflect on the significance of this festive season.

While pledging for better service delivery on behalf of his management team and the entire workforce of Nigeria Customs Service, the CGC prayed that this auspicious occasion will be an Eid that will illuminate hearts to the path of righteousness.
