Compt Bamisaiye on the saddle of Western Marine Command

In a bid to curb smuggling of harmful substances and other prohibited items into the country through the waterways, Comptroller P. K. Bamisaiye has taken over the mantle of leadership at Western Marine Command of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS.

Compt Bamisaiye emerged the new Customs Area Controller, CAC, of the Command following the recent redeployment exercise carried out by Customs High Command in Abuja.

Compt Bamisaiye, who is now on the saddle of Western Marine Command, took over from the outgoing CAC, Compt. O. A. Salefu, who had made tremendous impacts on anti-smuggling drive on waterways and the creeks.

More so, before being posted to Western Marine Command as the new Area Controller, Compt Bamisaiye had worked in various Customs formations. He served as the Scanner Manager at PTML Area Command, he was also a Provost Marshal, Customs Police Unit, at the Service headquarters in Abuja.

Therefore, with his wealth of experience in Customs operations, the Service expects Compt Bamisaiye to bring his expertise to bear in combating smuggling activities on high sea, as well as the creeks within his area of responsibilities.

During the handing over ceremony, Compt Salefu appreciated Officers and men of the Command for the support and cooperation given to him during his tenure as CAC. He urged them to give the incoming CAC the same cooperation, in order to carry out his duties efficiently.

Compt Bamisaiye, while taking over the leadership of Western Marine Command, thanked the outgoing CAC for the achievements he made during his stay as the Area Controller.
