Inter-agency synergy : Oyo/Osun Customs hand over 33,000 litres tanker of petrol to Civil Defence

In the spirit of inter-agency collaboration, the Nigeria Customs Service, Oyo/Osun Area Command has handed over 33,000 litres tanker truck conveying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol to Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

The Command also handed over two suspects arrested in connection with the seized Petrol.

Addressing Journalists at the Command Headquarters in Ibadan, Oyo State, the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the formation, Comptroller Adamu Abdukadir, disclosed that the tanker with its content was
intercepted along Iseyin Road through Intelligence.

Comptroller Abdukadir, informed reporters that the handing over became necessity following
a directive by the Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC Hameed Ali, also in line with improved synergy between both Security Agencies of government.

Speaking further, the CAC used the opportunity to warn economic Saboteurs in the country to desist, as officers of Oyo/Osun formation would not relent in their drive to eliminate smuggling within the State, in accordance with relevant laws guiding operations of Customs..

Taking over the 33,000litres tanker truck and the two suspects was the representative of Commandant, Civil Defence, Oyo State Command, Head of Anti-Vandal DCC Oladiji Subair.

Oladiji appreciated the Command and the Service in general for the cordial working collaboration.
