Commander border drill operations in Kwara State continues routine tour

More details reaching us on the activities of border drill operations in Kwara State, revealed that the Commander, Sector-3 division, Comptroller Mohammed Uba, is already embarking on familiarisation visit to various communities within his area of coverage.
Financial Business News gathered that Comptroller Uba and his enforcement team were at Ilorin/Alapa check-point during their tour.
Addressing Staff Officers and the 11-Team Leaders at Ilorin/Alapa check-point, during the routine tour, Comptroller Uba stressed importance of the Border Operations Drill, also known as Operations Swift Response.
He explained that the initiative behind the on-going exercise follows the directives of Federal Government to curtail illicit trade, in order to enhance economic growth and development.
Comptroller Uba, who is known as experienced Enforcement Officer, emphasised that his team will work in tandem with the vision of the Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC, Ali Hameed to curb the menace of smugglers in the country.
He commended the Service under the watch of CGC Ali for outstanding performance in revenue generation, trade facilitation and anti-smuggling drive in 2019 economic year.
