Strategic planning : Comptroller Bisi Alade boosts Federation Account with N15.2bn
…records 40% increase in revenue collection at Ogun 11 Command

Through strategic planning and rejigged operational approach, the Customs Area Controller of Ogun 11 Command, Comptroller Bisi Alade, has boosted the Federation Account with N15,191,227,503.82 (approximately N15.2billion).

The whopping sum of N15.2billion generated in the first quarter of 2025 economic year reflects a huge increase of 40 percent when compared to N9,165,717,162.99 billion
recorded in the same period in 2024.

Addressing reporters during a media conference, held in May 16, 2025, in Abeokuta, Comptroller Alade informed : “This achievement is a testament to the diligence, commitment, and professionalism of our officers and men who worked tirelessly to ensure we exceeded our revenue targets. It is also indicative of our unwavering commitment to the economic growth and development of our dear nation.
The breakdown of the revenue collected shows a progressive increase over four months”.

Aside impressive performance in revenue collection, the Command during the period under review, discovered another unauthorised factory that was operating illegally, and the Command brought it under excise control.

The Area Controller attributed the successes recorded so far to several strategic initiatives implemented in recent months, including:
Enhancing the Command Monitoring Unit operations. Improved intelligence gathering. Strengthening stakeholders’ engagement.
Corperate social responsibility (CSR).

He said :  “These initiatives aligned perfectly with the policy thrust of our Comptroller General of Customs, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR’s principles of Consolidation, Collaboration, and Innovation.
His visionary leadership and enabling support are crucial in enhancing our capabilities and driving these impressive results.”

Also, the Command reaffirms its commitment and determination to surpass this performance in the coming months with the improved compliance of trading community, partners at Free Trade Zones and the bonded terminal within the Command’s area of responsivity (AoR).

His words : “We will continue to dialogue and educate stakeholders and local business community. We shall maintain success through synergy with other partners while discharging our statutory responsibilities of enforcing compliance with government fiscal policy.”
