ACG Orbih takes over leadership as new Zonal coordinator of customs in Zone ‘A’
In line with the directives of the top Customs Management in posting officers to various formations, the Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, ACG Charles Orbih, has taken over the leadership of Customs in Zone “A’ going forward.
ACG Orbih formally assumed office at the Nigeria Customs Service Zone ‘A’ Headquarters, Ikeja Lagos, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, where he took over the mantle of leadership from his predecessor.
In his inaugural speech, ACG Orbih expressed his readiness to strengthen the Zonal structure of operations for greater productivity.
The new Zonal Coordinator pointed out the importance of working collaboration, teamwork and regular engagements with stakeholders. These, he explained, are in tandem with the policy thrust of Comptroller General of Customs, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, anchored on Consolidation, Innovation and Collaboration.
ACG Orbih joined the Nigeria Customs Service many years back, and has demonstrated unwavering commitment, hard work and resilience in all areas of his statutory responsibilities.
He is experienced Customs officer and a member of different professional bodies. In the course of his career, ACG Orbih has attended professional courses on leadership and management locally and internationally.
More so, before his appointment as the Zonal Coordinator of Customs in Zone ‘A’, he served in different capacities including Customs Area Controller, Imo/Abia Command, Murtala Muhammed International Airport Command and as the Zonal Coordinator, Zone ‘C’ of Nigeria Customs Service.
