Excitement as Ikechukwu Onyemekara Emerges General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communications Department of NPA
There is so much excitement in the maritime industry, as Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) appointed Mr Ikechukwu Onyemekara as the new General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communications Department of the Agency.
His appointment, which is well-deserved, was announced by the Managing Director of the Authority, Dr Abubakar Dantsoho.
Our Correspondent gathered that
the latest development becomes imperative following the decision by the management of NPA to rejig its operational strategies, in order to shore up its performance in the port industry.
With this latest appointment, Mr Onyemekara has taken over the Corporate & Strategic Communications Department of NPA as his new area of statutory responsibility.
More so, Mr Onyemekara, until his new appointment, was the Technical Assistant on Protocols, a position he held under three Managing Directors of NPA. Onyemekara is also known to be diligent and resilient in
carrying out his official duties.
According to Dr Dantsoho, the new appointments in NPA are deliberate strategies to deploy the wealth of experience and expertise of the appointees to national advantage, aimed at increased productivity now and in the long-term.
Thus, the latest appointments pave the way for some departments to align with the direction of the Federal Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy, retained Mrs Chinwe Nwokolo, Pharmacist, Hadiza Sani and Mr. Babatunde Gbotolorun as General Managers Medical, Abuja Liasion and ICT Divisions respectively.
The new appointees include Captain Jerome Angyunwe, Engr. Richard Unde, Engr. Mukhtar Isa, Mr. Anthony Edosomswan, Mr. Dapo Adekunle, Mr. Victor Gofwan, Mr. Rabiu Dambatta, Mrs Priscilla Maduka, Mrs Sarah Ballah, Mrs Zainab Dantiye, Engr. Anas Suleiman, Mr. Adeayo Oni, Mr. Abdulkadir Gusau Mr. RAB Salau, Barr. Nurrudeen Abdulkadir, Mr. Seyi Iyawe, Barr. Ethel Uduehi, Barr. Nansel Zhimwan, Barr. Ahmad Wanka, Mr. Fatai Oladapo, Mr. Ibrahim Lukman, Engr. Abdul Isah and Mr. Charles Okaga. Their appointments are to take immediate effect.
