… Joins NDLEA in the walk against illicit drugs
The Customs Area Controller, CAC, of Apapa Command, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu PhD fsi, is not only proficient in revenue collection for economic growth but he is also good in inter-agency collaboration.
Compt Olomu demonstrated a strong commitment for inter-agency synergy as he joined a sister agency, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in the walk against illicit drugs trafficking.
The walk, which took place today, Tuesday, June 25, 2024, was an interesting exercise, as
Compt Olomu gave collaboration with sister agencies a notch higher by participating in the Walk Against Drugs, in Commemoration of 2024 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.
The CAC joined the Commander of NDLEA, Apapa Special Area Command, and other government agencies in the port to create awareness on the dangers inherent in drug abuse.
The Customs boss emphasised that such collaboration between sister agencies of government is crucial for intelligence sharing and ensuring public safety.
He further noted that by working together, security agencies can achieve greater success and better protect their communities than working alone.
Recall that Compt Olomu just made uncommon achievement in revenue generation with a whopping sum of N17.9billion collected in just one day. A revenue record that is unprecedented in the history of Apapa Customs Command.
