NPA Boss, Bello KoKo Prioritises Exports
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Mr Mohammed Bello KoKo, has shown great determination to sustain the increase in the volume of export cargo arising from the Authority’s licensing of Export Processing Terminals (EPTs), as he received the executives of Satellite Truck Park Owners Association, at the NPA Headquarters in Marina, Lagos.
The meeting, which focused on placing the needed priority on export cargo in response to the national exigency of boosting exports to strengthen Nigeria’s balance of trade, also set a timeline for strict implementation of Service Level Agreement (SLA) governing truck management and satellite park operations to ensure adherence to best practices.
The Mohammed Bello KoKo-led management of NPA recently unleashed stringent measures in collaboration with Lagos State Government that eliminated the perennial traffic gridlock, which took its toll on ease of doing business around the Lagos Ports corridor.
