2024, the year of stakeholders echoes at TinCan Command, as Compt Nnadi organised a dinner for sister agencies. The CAC bonding with stakeholders during the dinner.

It was an echo of 2024 declaration as the year of stakeholders by TinCan Island Port Command, as the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Dera Nnadi mni, organised a dinner to celebrate the 18th day of IFTAR with Muslim brethen; and to usher in the celebration of Easter with Christians.

Recall that at the beginning of this year, Compt Nnadi openly declared 2024, as the year of stakeholders at TinCan Command. Only few weeks ago, during a press conference at TinCan Port, he repeated similar declaration, referring to 2024 as the year of stakeholders, giving so much importance to stakeholders as reliable and patriotic partners.

Thus, calling a dinner for the stakeholders was indeed a pragmatic demonstration of his declaration, showing clearly thatTinCan Command holds its stakeholders in very high esteem.

Speaking during the dinner, held in the evening, at TinCan Command, the CAC highlighted the significance of coming together to uphold the nation in prayers for continuous development.

Receiving other sister security agencies, stakeholders and media practitioners, the CAC applauded the Port Manager, Mr Sylvester O Egede, who reported recently to the port but has recorded a great feat, due to the synergy among Customs, other Sister security agencies, as well as the media.

A memorable evening for stakeholders at TinCan Command

Speaking further, the Area Controller urged all stakeholders to be dedicated in their respective fields towards national growth and development.

The action CAC spoke highly of Mr Egede’s achievement at the port within a short time of his arrival, urging all stakeholders to be dedicated to work for national development.

Compt Nnadi mni, expressed his appreciation towards the collaboration received by truck operators and appealed that they should understand that the resolved traffic situation is a positive development that will encourage seamless vehicular movement and multiple turnovers within a short time to the port, when compared to the situation in the past.

He said the traffic situation has caused deaths to some road users and adversely affected government drive for trade facilitation and ease of doing business.

The declaration echoed by Compt Nnadi, at the recent press conference; “2024 has been tagged the year of stakeholders”, which aligns with the vision of CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, and the theme of International Customs Day, in Engaging Traditional and New Partners with Purpose.”

Responding, the Port Manager of Tin Can Island Port, Mr Egede, gave insight and explained how a combination of long standing work experience, environmental awareness and institutional knowledge contributed to solving the traffic challenge that obstructed the flow of vehicular movement from Mile-2 to TinCan Seaport.

In his closing remarks, the CAC thanked all who honoured the invitation, especially the Imam of TinCan Mosque, who gave the closing prayer after the event. His prayer focused on the success of the Nigerian Nation and government at all times, as a prosperous nation would rub off positively on its citizens.

TinCan; one Command, numerous feats : Yes, aside from daily revenue collection for the Federal Government, massive seizures of arms, ammunition, Cocaine, heroin and other dangerous drugs to protect the port ambience, six new terminals have been established at TinCan Island Port.

Our Correspondent can authoritatively report that the six new terminals came into existence under the leadership of Compt Nnadi as the Area Controller. These achievements, no doubt, contributed to why 2024, is declared the year of stakeholders at TinCan Customs Command.
