…Celebrates Christmas with Customs officers at festive carol service
You can call him a workaholic, dynamic leader and great professional, the Customs Boss, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, is certainly a professional for all seasons.
CGC Adeniyi is hard working but very flexible. As the Customs Boss, he walks-the-talk proactively. He knows when to focus all his attention on official duties and when to unwind and relax with his officers. Afterall, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy !
Embedded in his personality are good height, charisma and intelligence expected of a leader in such exalted position, but these qualities do not stop him from unwinding and relaxing with his subordinates when occasion arises. That was exactly what played out on December 21, 2023, when CGC Adeniyi brought together his management team and officers for a joyful Christmas carol service.
The event, themed; “Dine and Grill with the CGC,” took place at Customs Management Quarters, creating a festive atmosphere to celebrate the holiday season.
During the gathering, CGC Adeniyi expressed warm Christmas wishes to all officers and urged them to embrace the season’s true spirit, emphasising the values of love and forgiveness. In his address, he highlighted that Christmas is not only a time for official gatherings but also an opportunity for officers to come together, relax and enjoy the company of one another.
The Christmas carol service was a blend of musical performance, dance, and festive decorations. Officers and management team members actively participated, creating a sense of love, unity, mutual trust and friendship.
The CGC’s call to imbibe the essence of Christmas resonated throughout the event, encouraging a spirit of togetherness and goodwill among the Customs community.
As the officers enjoyed the evening, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, joy and unmistakable sounds of Christmas carols. The event offered a break from the routine, allowing everyone to unwind and celebrate the year’s accomplishments.
