In what can be described as a newed hope initiative of the current administration, the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, has decorated six members of his Management Team.
During the decoration exercise, the CGC urged the appointed Officers to redouble their commitment and dedication to the success of the Service.
Speaking during the ceremony, which took place at Customs Headquarters in Abuja, CGC Adeniyi said that the appointment of three DCGs and three ACGs is in view of their exemplified dedication and commitment to the Service.
More so, this is the first time CGC Adeniyi decorated members of the Service’s Management Team since his appointment on June 19, 2023, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Less than two months after the appointment of CGC Adeniyi, the President approved appointment of Festus Okun, Musa Baba Abdullahi and Albashir Hamisu as DCGs; Kamardeen Olumoh, Auwal Mohammed and Adeogun Alajogun as ACGs.
The CGC while decorating the six high ranking Officers, tasked them to heighten their devotion and determination to promote the Service, adding that; “the newly promoted Officers understand that there are high expectations on them. Therefore I urge them to renew their dedication and commitment to add value to Nigeria Customs Service.”
DCG Festus Okun, who gave a vote of thanks on behalf of the newly appointed DCGs, expressed his appreciation to President Tinubu for the unwavering trust in their capabilities, promising to discharge their responsibilities with utmost professionalism.
