Comparatively, the amount recorded so far, shows an increase of 25.44 percent, when compared to what the Command realised in 2021.

Our Correspondent, who spoke with the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Ogun 11 Command, gathered that Shuaibu, who is highly skilled in Customs operations, recorded this feat through hard work and resilience, by going round all Excise Factories in Ogun State, enlightening them on the iimportance of total compliance to government fiscal policies, as well as economic benefits now and in the long-run.

Our investigation revealed that Ogun Il Command is saddled with the activities of Excise and Free Trade zone monitoring.

Statistically, the Command has 57 excise Factories within its area of responsibility; but only 36 are in full production, while 11 are under documentation, even as the remaining 10 are moribund.

Notwithstanding, DC Shuaibu, through his ingenuity and managerial competence has rejuvenated the Command, bringing a big boost to the revenue profile. The CAC ensures constant stakeholders’ engagement, which paves the way for the Factories to willingly comply with government policies on payment of Excise Duties.

In the same vein, the Command,
has two Free Trade zones; Guandong free trade zone located at Ibesa and Ceeplas at Sagamu.

Aside the core function of revenue collection, DC Shuaibu has made the Service proud in managing activities of the Command holistically. For instance, our Correspondent during interaction with the PRO observed that renovation work was going on in some offices, which is part of the measures put in place to rejig operations of Ogun 11 formation, for greater efficiency.
