The Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN) has carried out an extensive review of activities and policies of government in the maritime sector in 2022.

The strategic meeting, which took place at MAJAN Secretariat in Lagos today, lasted for over six hours,
as members reviewed activities in the maritime industry in 2022 and looked at a way forward for 2023.

The meeting was an important one, as MAJAN members under the supervision of their President, Comrade Ray Ugochukwu, did a thorough review of activities in the maritime sector, including policies of government and how such policies affected the sector in 2022.

The MAJAN President urged all members to be consistent and proactive in reporting activities in the industry, stressing that Maritime Journalists must live up to their responsibility in agenda setting for government.

Also, all MAJAN members applauded Comrade Ray Ugochukwu and his Exco for the rapid transformation of their Secretariat.

Like the popular expression; “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy“,
The strategic meeting ended in merry-making, as MAJAN members
moved to the dance floor, eating, dancing and bonding together like one family.
