His words :   “On this note, I want to congratulate CGC Hameed Ibrahim Ali  on his recent conferment with the National Honour of the Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR), by President Muhammadu Buhari, alongside some members of his management team”.

Compt Malanta went on : “Furthermore, I wish to respectfully extend our profound appreciation to the CGC and his management team for giving us an enabling platform to perform our duties effectively and efficiently. ”

He enthused :  “Finally, my special appreciation to government agencies in the port for collaboration and information sharing among officers and men of Apapa Command for their determined resilience, our compliant stakeholders and the media for their sheer support.

Above, were the words of Compt Malanta, as he ended the press conference organised by Apapa Command yesterday, with thankful expressions to the Customs CG, his management team, compliant traders, sister agencies and all relevant stakeholders.

In reality, the press conference put together to showcase the remarkable performance of Apapa Command in trade facilitation, revenue collection, anti-smuggling operations and inter-agency collaboration was well arranged.

The Command presented impressive score card with spectacular achievements in various aspects.  For instance, the Command facilitated 160 million tons of exports valued at N181 billion; generated over N790.6billion revenue for the Federal Government, even as it recorded N12.5billion seizures, from January to September, 2022.
