The Acting National President, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Dr Kayode Farinto, is talking tough about vehicles trapped in five Star Logistics, as the terminal operator has been deactivated from Custons portal, due to huge unpaid debt.

As such,  ANLCA helmsman has given Five Star Logistics 4 days ultimatum to keep to its agreement, even as he threatened Court action against the terminal operator.

His words :
“IT has been brought to the notice of NECOM that our members are unable to exit already released VEHILCES and Cargoes from five Star Logistics, due to the fact that the terminal operator has been deactivated from Custons portal, as a result of unpaid assessment running into millions of Naira.

“We wish to inform our members that, ANLCA is on top of this issue. We are saddened about the development.”

Dr Farinto roars :
“However, we shall be giving the terminal operator between now and next week Tuesday to resolve their issue with Nigeria Customs Service  (NCS),  If not, ANLCA will take them to Court for breach of agreement and failure to deliver these cargoes to the importers”.

He emphasised :
“So, Five Star Logistics should know that it will be responsible for all demurrage and storages that may accrue within this period, ( from July 6, 2022 till date).”

He appealed :
“We urge our members to be calmed and law abiding. I want to advise that we keep the receipts of all payments during this period”.
