About 4 hours from now, all roads will lead to Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, for the workshop on African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).
The programme, which will take place today Tuesday, May 24, 2022, by 10am, is organised by Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State chapter, under the watch of Mr. Adeleye Ajayi, as Chairman.
Mr. Adeleye Ajayi will play host to various business concerns across the country with this workshop on the challenges of AfCFTA.
The theme of this carefully planned workshop is; ‘The AfCFTA Challenge On Nigerian Businesses’.
The workshop will pave the way for deliberations on AfCFTA and its workings, constraints/challenges faced by Nigerian businesses in tapping fully its benefits and possible solutions.
The programme is designed to include key presentations by officials from AfCFTA headquarters in Accra, Ghana; the academia; Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA); and Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN).
Others include the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), SIFAX Group, Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO).
AfCFTA is a regional trade concept designed to break trade barriers impeding businesses among the countries of African continent.
