Customs at MMAC hands over electric-gun, Military hardwares, drones worth N379.2million to Nigerian Army

The government warehouse at Murtala Mohammed Airport Command of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) was the beehive of activities as the Command handed over electric-gun, drones and other military hardwares to Nigerian Army today.

The Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the Command, Compt Sambo Dangaladima along with his enforcement officers handed over the items before Journalists.

Speaking at the scene, Compt Dangaladima stressed that his Command is working in tandem with the vision of the Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC Hameed Ali to promote national security of the nation at all times.

His assertions :
“The officers and men of
MMAC are duty bound to ensure that the set objectives of the CGC are achieved”.

He revealed :
“We are handing over 679 sets of drones and 638 packages of various Military wares valued at N379.2million”.

The CAC informed :
“The Drones and military uniforms were seized because they are exclusives of the Military to import such items”.

Speaking further, the CAC commended the officers and men of MMAC for their hard work and resilience, while attributing the feats recorded by the Command to the use of credible intelligence.

Compt Dangaladima emphasised that the Command promotes cordial working synergy with relevant sister agencies to protect the economic ambience from influx of offensive items.

The items were received by the Chief of Army Staff, represented by Brg. General Danlami Indahi.

In his response, Indahi commended MMAC for the seizures, which he said prevented such sensitive items from getting into wrong hands, especially with the security Challenge in the country.

His words :
“These items were brought into the country illegally and Compt Dangaladima did a good job by intercepting and handing over the items to us.”

The Command also handed over electric-gun that can send shock if charged.
