The Customs Area Controller (CAC), Ondo/Ekiti Command of Nigeria Customs Service, Compt Ngozi Uche has made remarkable performance in revenue generation for the Federal Government with a huge sum of over N149.2 million realised in 2021 fiscal year.
Our Correspondent heard that the N149.2 million generated by Compt Uche is far greater than the revenue target of N80.4 million given to her Command for the period under review.
As such, she surpassed her revenue target with over N68,788.987.93 million (approximately N68.8million).
Our news inquest revealed that revenue collection by Ondo/Ekiti Command has being on geometric progression since Compt Uche took over the leadership of the formation.
For instance, the revenue figures sighted by our Correspendent revealed that the Command collected the sum of N14.5 million in August 2021; N14.6million in September; N14,777.086.75 million (approximately N14.8 million) in October; N13.5 million in November and N16.7 million in December of the same year.
Most outstanding is the fact that the CAC and her team made this impressive performance at a Command where there are no seaports and mega companies for massive commercial activities.
More so, recall that Ondo/Ekiti Customs Command under the leadership of Compt Uche supervised export of 2,233 containers of cocoa bean from January to August, 2021.
The Command also made tremendous achievements in inter-agency collaboration between Customs and sister agencies in Ondo/Ekiti.
Compt Uche, the Game Changer :
Describing Compt Uche as a game changer is simply stating the obvious. She is an officer known for Intelligence and dynamism in Customs operations.
She is a reformer with a difference. Everywhere she works, she makes a mark of excellence. She is disciplined and uncompromising on her line of duty.
She is already replicating the type of reforms she carried out at Oyo/Osun Customs Command in Ondo/Ekiti, where she transformed the entire Command to a world class corporate office in just few months.
It is to her credit that Oyo/Osun Command now wears a new and befitting look.
Lioness of The Jungle :
The traditional rulers of Oyo/Osun described her as Lioness of The Jungle, a special title well respected in Oyo State. Compt Uche is the first female Area Controller in the history of Nigeria Customs Service to carry out over six hours operations in the remote forest of Oyo State. Surrounded by her gallant officers, she went combing all the bush paths of Keshi communities, moving from Keshi to Saki axis, up to ODO the boundary between Nigeria and Benin Republic.
Compt Uche has really made the Service proud. She is one of the finest Customs officers in Nigeria.
