ANLCA’s 100 % Compliance team ready for operations

Apparently, the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has recorded another milestone in its operations, as the association formally launched its 100 percent Compliance team.

This development is coming few weeks after ANLCA openly expressed its readiness to work in synergy with National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), to tackle challenges facing Agents in the maritime media industry.

Speaking during inauguration of the Compliance team at Airport office,
the National Chairman of the team, Lamin Aliyu informed that their decision demonstrates the willing to ensure total compliance with the rules of engagement in cargo clearance from the ports, also to work hand-in-hand with Nigeria Customs Service, as well as other agencies to carry out 100 percent examination of containers.

According to him, the coming on stream of ANLCA’s Compliance team will prove that their members are not against 100 percent examination of containers at seaports by Customs operatives.

Highlighting the roles of ANLCA’s Compliance team, he assured that as professionals, their members will continue to display professionalism in carrying out their businesses in the ports

He stressed that the Compliance team will constantly sensitise members on the need to show total compliance with the fiscal policies of government on cargo clearance, in order to avoid delay and unnecessary bottlenecks during cargo clearance.
