As rising rate of unemployment poses a serious challenge to the nation’s economy, Dangote Group, the foremost indigenous conglomerate has expressed readiness to support the Federal Government in creating thousands of jobs across the country.

The Group Executive Director in charge of Commercial Operations, Hajiya Halima Aliko-Dangote, made this known at the on-going 2021 Lagos International Trade Fair.

Halima Aliko-Dangote, who was represented by the Group Chief Commercial Officer, Dangote Industries Limited, Rabiu Umar, explained that the Group intends to create more employment opportunities with its investments and projects nation-wide.

He emphasised that Dangote Group remains totally committed to job creation, as one of the measures to alleviate poverty, in line with government’s policy on poverty reduction in the country. This, he said informs the decision by the Company to invest huge sums in various projects.

On the Trade Fair, he informed that the Company’s participation shows its confidence in economic activities by Chambers of Commerce and Industry, which plays a vital role in creating value and connecting businesses not only within the country but across West African sub-region for tangible economic growth and development.

He said that through participation at Trade Fair exhibitions, the Group creates awareness for its unique products, explore new investment windows for employment and greater economic prosperity.

More so, the Group created a one-stop shop Stand for traders and visitors at the Trade Fair to make enquiries on its products, with its companies like Dangote Fertiliser, Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, Refinery and NASCON.

In the same vein, the President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Mrs. Toki Mabogunje, applauded Dangote Group on its participation at the Trade Fair.

She enthused :

Recall that not too long ago, Dangote Group emerged as Africa’s best brand, winning Africa’s Best Brand Award, even as the Company won most valuable brand Award in Nigeria for four consecutive years.
