As Tochukwu Ezisi emerges 6th National President

It was a colourful ceremony, at Rockview hotel, Apapa, Lagos, yesterday, as top government functionaries, respected freight forwarders and stakeholders in the maritime industry turned out in large number to honour the inauguration of Mr. Tochukwu Ezisi, as the 6th President, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF).
Speaking during the inauguration, the
Founder of NAGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, whom many described as exemplary and Iconic leader in the industry, said Mr.Ezisi is hard working and resilient.
The NAGAFF Founder openly declared that Mr.Ezisi earned his admiration because of his sterling qualities, goodwill and the capacity for hard work.
Going further, Dr Aniebonam urged all
NAGAFF members to always follow the rules of engagement in doing their businesses at the seaports.
He stressed : ‘If you want to enjoy support of the new President and his executives, always be on the side of law. Ensure total compliance with trade regulations of government.
” What will prepare all of you to be on the safe side and get assistance of Ezisi is compliance with the law. Do not go to the government with dirty hands. Do not hide under association to do anything to the contrary”.
In his remarks; the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), NAGAFF, Mr Chidiebere Enelamah, urged the new President. to focus on visitation to all NAGAFF Commands, strict adherence to the rules of engagement, welfare of members capacity building for members to upgrade their competences in the industry and unity of members.
In his response, Mr Ezisi
thanked the Founder of NAGAFF and the entire management team for the confidence reposed in him to lead the great association.
He extolled the good qualities of Dr Aniebonam, even as he
promised to work assiduously to deliver on his mandate, in order to move the association to greater heights.
The new President
promised to run all inclusive administration, seeking the support of NAGAFF members to unite and move the association forward, for the greater good of all members.
Ezisi informed that the first project in his agenda will be to build an administrative office for NAGAFF. This, he said becomes important
to ensure operational efficiency for association like NAGAFF, which contributes enormously to the growth of maritime industry.
He pointed out :
“We will focus more on constructive engagements with relevant regulatory agencies in the industry. This is quite imperative to ensure cordial working collaboration with NAGAFF as an association, for the interest of our members.
“We all know the vision and mission of NAGAFF.
So, we have to stick together as a family to achieve our objectives, irrespective of tribe and background. This is the time for us to see one another as members of the same families; and not as enemies.
“Also, we have to treat one another with respect and dignity we deserve. Let us join forces and unite, because without unity, there is no peace.
” I need your support in all aspects. With your support, my administration will ensure NAGAFF gets a good health insurance scheme for the benefit of all members”.
The programme was well organised, as stakeholders gave goodwill messages, expressing satisfaction on the choice of Ezisi as the new President of NAGAFF.

More so, as a reputable organisation that plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of Nigerian maritime industry, all eyes are on the association now and expectations from stakeholders are high, as Mr. Tochukwu Ezisi, emerged the 6th National President of a very important entity like NAGAFF.
Stakeholders are watching to see how the new President will bring fresh impetus to bear in running NAGAFF, to maintain its strategic position in the freight forwarding sub-sector.
