Says professionalism is her watch word

The current Zonal Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Customs in charge of Zone ‘A’, Madam Nkiruka Nwala, is now a Superintendent of Customs (SC).

The Zonal Image Maker, is among newly promoted officers, who received the honour of being decorated by ACG Modupe Aremu herself.

SC Nwala, who is known to be hard working and result oriented, has served Customs at different Commands.
Her passion for public service manifests often on her diligence and resilience in carrying out official assignments.

When it comes to image making for the Service, she is a workaholic.
Before her current posting to the Zonal office, SC Nwala served as the PRO of Oyo/Osun Command of Customs.
She equally served as PRO of Apapa Command (the premier port in Nigeria).

As Zonal PRO at the moment, SC Nwala is up and doing in coordinating activities of her Unit effectively.

In a chat with Journalists after her decoration, SC Nwala pledged complete loyalty, dedication and integrity to the Service. She promised to discharge her duties with a high level of professionalism at all times.

Speaking further, SC Nwala, expressed great appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC Hameed Ali and his management team for the promotion.
She emphasised that the promotion will motivate officers to double their efforts in all areas of their assignments, as the promotion comes with more responsibilities.

Her assertions :
“I feel great. I’m excited, motivated, encouraged to do more with this promotion. As a Public Relations Officer, I have always projected the good image and achievements of the Service and will continue in my duties diligently.

“As the ACG said earlier, 80 percent of revenue collection comes from Zone A, and also most of the challenges as well. So, as the Zonal PRO, I am resolved to continuously project the Service in good light, encourage officers, report the activities timely and create a robust working relationship between the media and other stakeholders. Once again, I thank the CGC and his entire management team for this promotion.
I’m encouraging others who didn’t get it this time to remain steadfast and commited in their duties, as theirs will certainly come”.
