ANLCA : Great Professionals
* Inaugurates Eastern Zone Executives in grand style

It was indeed a display of professionalism, the right decorum and excellent leadership traits in Port Harcourt, yesterday, as the National President, Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Hon Iju Tony Nwabunike, inaugurated the newly elected executives of Eastern Zone in grand style.
The inauguration, an epoch making event was marked with a well organised training workshop that focused mostly on exemplary leadership.
The theme; “Image of ANLCA in 21st Century Freight Forwarding”, was unique and well thoughtout to make the event most outstanding.
In his opening speech, Hon Nwabunike, emphasised on building a good image, Integrity, credibility, consistency and toeing the trend of global best practice in freight forwarding operations.
Speaking further, Hon Nwabunike described the programme as the first of its kind in the history of ANLCA, even as he urged elected officials, as well as other members to promote the image of ANLCA at all times and be seen as good ambassadors of the Association.
Hon Nwabunike said that all elected officials owe ANLCA credible representation, stressing that the degree of individual integrity could rub off on the Association as a body all members associate with.
He pointed out; ” Having your names on ANLCA’s register should earn you trust and credibility of agents, importers, government and the public in general”.
Going memory lane on the creation of ANLCA since 1954 and its enormous contributions to the growth of maritime industry, Nwabunike said, “ANLCA unarguably is the largest body of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders in African continent.
“We must be of good behaviour,, consistent and ICT compliant. We should build the image of ANLCA that is driven by professionals, who strictly observe global best practice in freight forwarding operations to reinforce ANLCA’s position as a leader in the industry”.
The elected officials emerged from Onne, Oil & gas, Port Harcourt, Calabar Port and Port Harcourt – Airport chapters.
The programme had a smooth ending with presentation of certificates of return to the executives by Hon Nwabunike.
