Encomiums as Customs Spokesman, DC Joseph Attah, receives International Award

It is a moment of encomiums for Customs National Public Relations Officer, DC Joseph Attah and the entire Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), as he received the International Public Relations Golden World Award 2020.
Our Correspendent gathered that the prestigious Award is bestowed on him for outstanding performance in Public sector Communication.
In the same vein, NCS received 2020 African Public Relations Award for, ‘Superior Achievements in Branding Reputation and Engagement’ (SABRE).
The honour is given to NCS following its consistent anti-smuggling campaigns, as well as enforcement measures, which contributed largely to reduction in smuggling of prohibited items into Nigeria’s economic ambience.
More so, the Award Committee also recognised Customs effort in prompt responses to issues bothering on stakeholders’ concern on rice smuggling, especially Rice Processors Association of Nigeria – RIPAN.
The Award programme is organised by Holmes Report in partnership with African Public Relations Association – APRA), in Abuja.
The initiative is to celebrate creativity and remarkable performance of Public Relations Officers.
At the moment, Customs Public Relations Officers from various Commands across Nigeria, maritime Journalists, as well as officers are sending their comments to Customs-Media platform, praising DC Attah and NCS for the recognition, even as they described the Award as an honour well-deserved.
