Customs Strike Force Zone ‘A’ intercepts over 1,000 bags of foreign rice, exotic cars

Clearly, the Customs Strike Force covering Zone ‘A’ axis is giving illicit traders a hard time.

Our Correspondent gathered that the Strike Force operatives just intercepted over 1,000 bags of foreign rice smuggled into the country through the back door.

That was not all. The Team also seized smuggled vehicles through credible intelligence.

This is coming just after the Strike Force, led by the Coordinator, DC Kakudi AG, made massive seizure of secondhand clothes worth millions of naira from a private warehouse in Lagos.

The Staff Officer of the Strike Force, SC Enemuo Samuel, made this known in a chat with our Correspondent.

He stressed that the Team is working tirelessly to curtail smuggling within its area of coverage.

Giving more explanation on the mind boggling seizure of secondhand clothes, he said,   “Over 2,000 bales of Secondhand clothes were evacuated from a private warehouse, located at Abulegba area of Lagos and deposited at government warehouse Ikorodu”.

Speaking further, the Staff Officer described DC Kakudi as highly experienced and always several steps ahead of Illicit traders in anti-smuggling operations.

His words, “The Strike Force under the leadership of DC Kakudi has made tremendous achievements within a short period and the Coordinator is focused in leading the team”.
