Customs in Ogun intercepts 3 vehicles with poultry products
*Destroys 450 cartons of the items

The Ogun 1 Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has intercepted three vehicles fully loaded with 450 cartons of poultry products smuggled into the country illegally.
The Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the Command, HB OLOYEDE, disclosed this.
Speaking on behalf of the Customs Area Controller, CAC, Comptroller Agbara Michael, he explained that the items were intercepted by the Command’s Special Taskforce team while on routine patrol.
He revealed that the smuggled poultry products were seized along Sango/Ifo road, by the officers through intelligence.
His words, “One among the three vehicles used as means of conveyance was padded with extra compartments on the roof, so as to create more space for conveyance of the smuggled items.
“Upon further examination, about 450 cartons of poultry products were discovered and consequently destroyed in line with the extant guidelines”.
He went on, “The Command wishes to reiterate its utmost commitment on the fight against smuggling in the overall interest of Nigeria’s economy”.
