NPA donates Computers, printers to Diaspora Commission

*As NIDCOM Boss lauds First Lady, Hadiza Usman

In line with its policies to promote economic growth and development, the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has donated computers; printers and other office equipment to Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM in Abuja.

The items, which include 20 desktop computers; 10 laptops; two printers, as well as accessories were presented to NIDCOM by the General Manager of NPA, Abuja Liason Office, Mr. Edward Kabir,
on behalf of the Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman.

According to him, the kind gesture displayed by NPA was part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, to enhance operations of the Commission in meeting its statutory functions.

His words; “We are donating these office items in line with our Corporate Social Responsibility, as we convey assurance of our Managing Director’s commitment to economic growth and national development”.

He emphasised, “NPA is a responsible corporate organisation, which is mindful of the needs of other agencies.”

The Chairperson of NIDCOM, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who received the office equipment expressed great pleasure for the gesture by NPA, thanking the Authority for its thoughtfulness in donating the items.

She also stressed that the items were given in the nick of time the Commission needed them most.

She said; “I commend the effort of NPA. This is what governance is all about, a Sister Agency helping another new Agency at a critical time that we are in dire need of working equipment.

“These items will be very useful in carrying out our duties.”

That was not all.
Speaking further, the NIDCOM Chairperson, also thanked the First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, the Finance Minister and other well-meaning Nigerians who have supported the Commission one way, or the other.
