As part of its Corporate Social Responsibilities to Nigeria’s economy, Five Star Logistics Terminal has donated a whopping sum of N75 million to the Federal Government, to tackle the deadly coronavirus in the country.

That was not all. The Company also donated face masks, as well as hand sanitizers worth about N20 million to Nigerian Ports Authority. NPA.

The items were presented at Tincan Island Port, by the General Manager of Comet Group, Rigo Nazarri.

Speaking during the presentation, he said the donations were given to support the port industry and the economy at large.

He also commended the efforts of NPA in supporting the Federal Government to keep the port industry afloat despite the pandemic.

In the same vein, Comet Shipping Agencies And Tarabaroz Fisheries Limited, both subsidiaries of Five Star Logistics donated N5 million and N500, 000 respectively to government, to fight coronavirus.

According to him, “We are resolute in our support to government and the people of Nigeria at this period.

“We will work together to eliminate coronavirus in Nigeria and the world in general.

“The Companies under Comet Shipping Group have cumulatively contributed more than N100 million to support in the fight against COVID-19 in Nigeria.

The items were received on behalf of NPA by the Port Manager, Tincan Island Port, Abubakar Umar.
He thanked the management of Five Star Logistics for their kind gesture.
