Comptroller Bello Jibo visits Emir of Bauchi
*Seeks cooperation of Emir, his subjects
*Customs officers are partners in progress- he says

As part of the familiarisation tour within his area of operations, the newly deployed Customs Area Controller, CAC, Bauchi/Gombe Command of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Comptroller Bello Mohammed Jibo visited the Emir’s Palace in Bauchi.
Financial Business News learnt that the visit was a pleasant meeting, as His Royal Highness, the Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu warmly received Comptroller Jibo and his entourage.
In his brief remarks during the visit, the CAC solicited for cooperation of the Emir and his subjects in ensuring that the community understands the role of Customs as partners in progress.
He stressed that the Service is working tirelessly to curb illicit trade in the country, in order to promote economic growth and development.
His words, “The Service is interested in the welfare of Nigerians and development of local industries”.
Speaking further, Comptroller Jibo also explained the gains of border restrictions as signs and beginning of better days ahead.
In his welcome address, the Emir expressed great enthusiasm and that of his subjects in the Palace for the visit.
The Emir equally prayed for the success of Comptroller Jibo and his team, general peace, unity and progress of Nigeria.
Comptroller Jibo and his officers left the Palace with a royal blessing from the Emir.
The visit ended with a group photograph taken immediately after Comptroller Jibo signed the visitors register.
