Customs in Bauchi, Gombe Command promotes inter-agency collaboration
*As Comptroller Bello Jibo tours Gombe out-stations
The news reaching us from Bauchi reveals that newly deployed Customs Area Controller, CAC, of Bauchi/Gombe Command, Comptroller Bello Mohammed Jibo has embarked on a working tour to Gombe out stations.
The tour, which began on 24th of March 2020, is to enable the CAC familiarise himself with his areas of responsibility (AOR).
Addressing officers during the tour, he declared that, he will not condone any form of misconduct. He equally advised officers and men of the Command to maintain high level of self awareness and preservation in view of the concerns towards covid-19 pandemic ravaging the entire globe.
Comptroller Jibo also visited the newly built 30-man rank and file quarters, which is essential for the housing and convenience of officers serving there.
He further implored them to use all the facilities judiciously and maintain them excellently for the benefit of their successors.
Later on, the Controller and his entourage proceeded on a courtesy visit to the deputy state Governor, former DCG (Dr) Manessa Daniel Jatau.
While speaking, he expressed the Command’s appreciation for the cordial relationship existing with the state government.
In his remarks, the Deputy Governor (who views Customs as his constituency), promised to solidify and cement the already existing cordial relationship, even as he also affirmed that his doors will always remain open to the Command on all issues, whether Professionally or otherwise.
