The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, is partnering with the Lagos State Government on its operations to boost investors’ confidence in the industry.

The Managing Director of NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman, made this known during a working visit by officials of the Central Business District, CBD, in Lagos.

Speaking through her representative, the Executive Director of Marine and Operations, Sokonte Davies, she emphasized that the Management of NPA will work with the State government, as well as other relevant stakeholders in the industry to enhance efficiency in the ports system.

This, she said, becomes imperative to build strong confidence in investors, in line with the Executive Order of the Federal Government on Ease of Doing Business in Nigerian ports.

According to her, NPA will ensure transparency in its operations at all times, in order to enhance the growth of ports industry in the country.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the State Governor on CBD, Olanrewaju Elegushi, expressed readiness to work with the Authority in moving the ports industry forward.

He explained that the purpose of their visit was to familiarise themselves with the activities of NPA, as important regulator in the industry.
