Promotion: Customs at MMAC decorates 56 officers *Be alert 24 hours – Says Comptroller Oyama

The Customs Area Controller, CAC, Murtala Muhammed Area Command, Comptroller Oyama, has decorated 56 more officers newly promoted by the Service.

The decoration exercise took place yesterday at the Command.

Addressing officers during the exercise at the Command, she said, “We congratulate you today because this promotion has changed your level.

“Expect higher responsibilities and be alert 24 hours on your work.

“Let me inform you that any officer no matter the rank can be called upon to represent the Command at any assignment.

“This promotion must reflect in your productivity on all areas of our operations.

“This implies more revenue generation for government, trade facilitation and anti-smuggling drive.

“You must also show discipline and commitment at all times”.

Also speaking, DC Abubakar Aliyu stressed, “To whom much is given, much is expected.”

He went on, “Though we cannot be perfect, we have to move upward to over 75 percent on discipline.

“Respect your seniors and allow your hard work to speak for you.”
