.Takes over as new Controller of International Airport Command

Apparently, Comptroller Wale Adeniyi is standing tall in his career, as the new Customs Area Controller, CAC, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, a new formation created by Service.
Comptroller Adeniyi, the former National Public Relations Officer of Customs, has served the Service in various capacities before taking over the mantle of leadership at MMIA.
He formally took over from Comptroller Jayne Shoboiki, who was the CAC of MMIA, until it was carved out of the Command recently.
In her remarks during the handing over at MMIA, Comptroller Shoboiki said, “The Command was split into two in line with the restructuring and additional eight Commands were created out of the existing ones”.
Shoboiki informed, “The Service Board during its 50th regular meeting on May 21, 2019, approved the creation of eight additional Commands, to enhance administrative effectiveness and boost revenue generation for government”.
Her words, “I am glad to introduce to you, a seasoned officer, Comptroller Wale Adeniyi now in charge of MMIA. The same God who has been seeing me through will surely support him. God will help him to excel in his career.
Comptroller Shoboiki urged port users to improve on their level of compliance, to enable Customs generate more revenue and facilitate trade in line with global best practice.
In his response, Adeniyi said, “I want to count on the understanding and guidance of all of you to make this place better than I met it. We need to realise the objectives of the management in splitting the Command into two.
“It is going to be a lot of work. I am sure we are all ready to work. It is now time for us to work because we have to put that work first before any other consideration.
“My office will be opened to all of you. I will be looking forward to your suggestions that will move the Command forward.
“I can assure you, it is going to be fun working with me but also a lot of hard work, because we really have to work very hard to achieve positive result.”
On the whole, he commended Shoboiki for the foundation work she had established at the Command.
