The Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, yesterday visited Seme Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service, in line with the policy of the Federal Government to promote trade facilitation for economic growth and development.
The Minister, who inspected all departments of Seme Command, commended the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Mohammed Uba and officers of the Command for their hard work and resilience.
The Minister also commended the CAC and his men for their operational efficiency at Seme, which is the busiest border in the West African sub-region, even as he promised that government is putting measures in place to address truck congestion at the border.
ACG Dahiru also visited the Command at the same time.
