He enthused, “The honour by WCO was given to the Command for rendering exceptional service to International Customs organisation”.

Also, in a chat with Financial Business, the team manager, Customs Intelligence Unit, CIU, Apapa Command, Assistant Comptroller B. Ahmed, who was given Award by the CAC for outstanding performance, described Comptroller Bashir as a reformer.

His managerial qualities have manifested in the achievements of the Command in areas of revenue generation, anti-smuggling drive and trade facilitation in line with global best practice. The WCO Award is another proof of his hard work”.
He went on, “I thank him for the Award given to myself and other colleagues. I feel happy, encouraged and motivated to do more for the Service. I equally thank CGC Ali Hameed for the opportunity given to us, to serve our nation”.
