.Ensures operation of single outlet at joint border post

Seme Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, under the supervision of Comptroller Mohammed Uba, as the Customs Area Controller, CAC, has taken a decisive step on the enforcement of Customs International law on transit cargoes at the border. The Command demonstrated this pragmatically by ensuring operations of a ‘Single Outlet’ at Seme border, which is known to be the busiest border area within the West African sub-region.
Usage of a Single Outlet at the border is quite imperative, as the Director General of Customs in Benin Republic, Comptroller of Customs in the same country, the Director of Benin Ports and other partners of the ‘Joint Border Post’ came for official inspection on final closure of all outlets, other than single entry and exit at the joint border post.
