The new Customs Area Controller, CAC, Oyo/Osun Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Comptroller  Abdullahi Z. A, has said that there is no hiding place for the dare-devil smugglers in his area of coverage, warning economic saboteurs to desist from illicit trade and allow sanity in the economic environment.

Comptroller Abdullahi gave this warning while addressing newsmen on the mind boggling seizures recorded by his Command in only two months.

He demonstrated the unwavering determination by his Command to give smugglers a tough time by showcasing massive seizures of foreign rice, cannabis sativa (Indian Hemp), vehicles, vegetable oil, textile materials, 33 means of conveyance and other smuggled items, with a Duty Paid Value, DPV, of over N113.8million, recorded by Oyo/Osun Command within the period under review.

The Command also generated N21.9bilion (approximately N22billion), into the coffers of the Federal Government, from January to November 2018, realising 90.4 percent of the Command’s revenue target for 2018.
