Oil production: Nigeria targets 1.8m bpd in 2019
Facts emerged that Nigeria is putting measures in place to increase its oil production to 1.8 million barrels per day in 2019 economic year.
The Group Managing Director, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Maikanti Baru made this disclosure yesterday.
According to Reuters, he revealed that Nigeria would raise condensate production to 0.5 million bpd, for greater productivity in the sector.
He added that Nigeria at present is producing 1.6 million oil bpd and 0.4 million condensate bpd.
The NNPC boss also told Reuters that he expected the Corporation to sign deals with consortiums this month, in order to resuscitate the long-neglected oil refineries for optimum productivity.
