NAGAFF expresses support for new CRFFN Chairman

.Calls on members to respect Minister’s decision

Facts emerged that the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, NAGAFF, after due consideration has decided to support the new Chairman, Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria, CRFFN, Abubakar Tsanni, inaugurated by the Minister of Transportation, Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi recently.

The Founder of NAGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, who is also the Chairman, New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, made this known, as the new position of the Association, in a chat with Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria, MAJAN, at NAGAFF centre, Apapa, Lagos.

Dr. Aniebonam also called on NAGAFF members to support the new chairmanship arrangement of CRFFN put in place by Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, in order to respect the Minister’s decision.

Though he faulted the process through which the new Chairman of CRFFN emerged, saying the due process of the law enshrined in CRFFN Act on electoral provisions for appointing Chairman of Council was not adhered to; Dr. Aniebonam said CRFFN is an agency of government.  As such, the Minister’s decision should be respected by his members.

The NAGAFF Founder called on all members to support Abubakar Tsanni, as the new Chairman of the Council, in order for the group to move forward, for greater growth in the maritime sector of the economy.

To him, the decision of the Minister should be respected for them to forge ahead.
