Comptroller Uba hands over FOU with outstanding records
.We will increase tempo of anti-smuggling operations-Says Aliyu

It was a remarkable moment yesterday at the Federal Operations Unit, FOU, Zone ‘A’, of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Ikeja, Lagos, as Comptroller Mohammed Uba, the out-going Customs Area Controller, CAC, of the Unit, handed over formally to the new CAC, Comptroller Mohammed Aliyu, with outstanding records in anti-smuggling enforcement, revenue generation and trade facilitation.
Uba who has received four commendation letters from the Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC, Ali Hameed for exceptional performance as CAC of FOU Zone ‘A’ in the last one year, called on all officers of the Unit to give the new CAC greater support to carry out his duties effectively.
Uba further described Comptroller Aliyu as experienced and competent officer, who has served in Customs at different capacities, saying he would bring his years of experience to bear in building on the successes recorded by FOU so far.
Comptroller Uba encouraged all officers to be resourceful, resilient and work in tandem with the goals of CCG Ali to enhance economic growth and development.
In his remarks, Comptroller Aliyu expressed great pleasure at the achievements recorded by FOU Zone ‘A’ in the last one year.
He promised to work assiduously, to build on the structures on ground, saying the Unit would operate as a team to raise the tempo of anti-smuggling activities throughout its area of coverage.
Financial Business observed that both Comptroller Uba and Comptroller Aliyu share the same name “Mohammed”, both of them seems to have similar personality trait in terms of charisma.
