Comptroller Shoboiki gets commendation letter for outstanding performance

The CAC receiving her Commendation from ACG Dahiru:

The Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC Ali Hameed, has given a commendation letter to the Customs Area Controller, CAC, of Murtala Mohammed Area Command, MMAC, Comptroller Jayne Shoboiki (Mrs), PhD, for outstanding performance recorded by her Command in the half year of 2018.

The Zonal Co-odinator, Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Zone ‘A’ headquarters, Lagos, ACG Dahiru A. M. presented the letter to her, during his visit to the Command, some hours ago, saying the CAC has made positive impact in the Command within a short period.

The ACG described Comptroller Shoboiki as experienced and intelligent officer who has served in NCS at various capacities, before becoming the first female CAC of MMAC.

He said, “I have known Comptroller Shoboiki as a very hard working officer while she was at Tincan Command, as well as Customs Intelligence Unit, CIU.  She is committed and very transparent.  What I keep telling officers and stakeholders at various Commands is to support any CAC who is able to bring positive changes, because this is what we need to move the Service to greater height of recognition.  CGC Ali Hameed believes in merit, so we must be ready to embrace hard work and selfless service at all times.”

The words of the ACG, “People may see you as being tough, strict or hard, but to me, you are hard working and intelligent”.

On her response, Comptroller Shoboiki received the commendation letter with thanks, disclosing that the Command has raked in over N4billion in July 2018.

She promised that the Command would continue to carry out its duties of revenue generation for government, trade facilitation in line with global best practice and anti-smuggling activities effectively.

She said, “All of us must be ready to give our best in the Service. The Service now is driven by merit, because CGC Ali Hameed works on merit without looking at tribe or back ground of any officer. He wants every officer to do his work diligently”.
