Community Policing: PCRC Embarks On Sensitisation Road Show

In line with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, on campaign for community policing, the Police Community Relations Committee ,PCRC, Tincan Roro division, embarked on a sensitisation road show within its area of operation.
The road show, according to the Chairman of the Committee, Chief Dele Iboma, aimed at attracting more membership, in order to assist the police to minimise crimes and other security concerns around the ports.
While at the Port and Terminal Multipurpose Limited ,PTML, the Committee was received by the vice Chairman, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents ,ANLCA, PTML chapter, Mr. Charlse Udealor and other members of the executives.
The Chairman while speaking with the ANLCA representatives reiterated the need for all genuine port stakeholders to join hands and form intelligent networks, in order to dislodge criminals and undesirable elements from from the ports.
In his response, Mr. Charles Udealor, on behalf of the chapter thanked the Committee for taking up the initiative and promised to encourage their members to join the laudable course, even as he agreed that the issue of community policing should be a collective issue.
The Committee thereafter offered automatic membership to the chapter’s chairman and vice chairman.
