If you meet the new Customs Area Controller ,CAC, of Murtala Mohammed Area Command ,MMA, Comptroller Shoboiki Jayne T (Mrs,), you will instantly notice that she is hard working, very committed and focused.
These are some of the sterling qualities seen in this amiable Comptroller during her tour of numerous out stations within MMA operational domain.
Her articulation, thought flow and constructive manner of speaking, were seen in the way she moved tirelessly, visiting all the agencies and associations operating within MMA Command, and briefing them on the mandate of the Command within the short period she assumed office, such that some of the agents during the tour described her as a working woman, who is beautiful and intelligent, which is clearly seen in her records below:
Comptroller Shoboiki Jayne T (Mrs,) Phd, was born in Calabar to the family of Chief and Princess B. S. Thompson.
Dr. (Mrs.) Shoboiki hold LLB (Hons) that is Bachelor of Law.
BL from Nigeria Law School.
Diploma in Public Administration, DPA.
Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration ,PGDPA.
Certificate in Leadership, Policy and Strategic Studies from National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru Jos.
Certificate in non-violence.
Masters degree in International Studies.
Doctorate degree in International Relations ,PhD.
She joined Nigeria Customs Service ,NCS, in April 1989, as Assistant Superintendent of Customs ,ASC 1, and had her basic training at Customs Training College Ikeja.
Career progression and work experience:
Striking Officer, Long Room (CPC) Tincan Island Port
T and T Headquarters Abuja.
Valuation Officer at MMA Command and Lilypond.
Customs Training College Ikeja (Teacher)
Tincan Island Port, where she served as Staff Officer in Cross Marine.
Lagos Industrial, where she was the O/C Legal.
Customs Intelligence Unit ,CIU, training where she performed remarkably well in the final exams and was posted on merit to become the first female O/C CIU in the Premier Port Apapa. After two years of outstanding performance, she was also moved again to become the first female O/C CIU in Tincan Island Port.
Her career as Deputy Comptroller:
As Deputy Comptroller, she was the DC Terminal Ports and Cargo, also DC of terminal B2.
Her experience and dedication made the Service to post her again to Customs Training College, Lagos, as the Deputy Commandant of the College.
Her career as Full Comptroller:
In 2016, Dr. (Mrs.) Shoboiki was promoted to the rank of full Comptroller and was posted to Strategic Research and Policy ,SR&P, headquarters in Abuja, where she became the Comptroller, International Customs, dealing with WCO, WTO and other International organisations.
Comptroller Shoboiki is a member of Nigerian Bar Association, member of International Bar Association, a Fellow, Institute of Professional Managers and Administration, a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Public Management, and also a Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administrators of Nigeria.
She is an Alumni, University of Jos, University of Calabar, University of Abuja and University of Reading, United Kingdom.
This amiable Comptroller has been married close to three decades now, to Major General Joseph Shoboiki, and they are blessed with promising children. Her hobbies include cooking, reading and traveling.
Above all, she is a beautiful woman.
