The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Tincan Island Chapter is poised for greater productivity in 2018 as Forwarder Kenneth Okoro-Obi, the aspirant running for the Chairmanship position of this great Association has promised to build a befitting secretariat for the association, once he is elected into office.
Speaking with Financial Business & Maritime News at Tincan, Apapa, Lagos, Okoro-Obi said that aside from a befitting secretariat for Tincan Chapter, his leadership team will establish an interface between his members and government, in order for them to make tangible contributions to policies that shape the maritime industry in Nigeria. He enthused, “NAGAFF under my leadership at Tincan will create a synergy between our members and other stakeholders in the industry to ensure a robust networking platform for greater efficiency. We have a lot to give our members, but in all, their welfare will be paramount in our agenda”.
In a chat with Financial Business & Maritime News at Tincan, Mr Chikodi, also a Freight Forwarder, described Okoro-Obi as a dynamic leader, whose sterling qualities have impacted positively on many members over the years in the industry.
His words: “NAGAFF as an Association is highly recognised and respected in the whole maritime industry. Therefore, we need a leader with integrity and vision. We need a leader who is transaparent, intellectually sound and committed to move the Tincan Chapter of NAGAFF forward. These are the qualities we have seen in Okoro-Obi. He is epitome of exemplary leader”.
