(Report by Udeme Clement):
It was a moment of encomiums, at Apapa Area Command, as the Zonal Coordinator, Zone ‘A’ Customs, ACG Kaycee Ekekezie, described Mohammed Abba-Kura, the out-going Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the Command, as hard-working, highly experienced, competent, resilent and uncompromising Customs officer.
She gave these commendations while commissioning a new Clinic and the Gym put in place by Abba- Kura to cater for officers immediate medical needs at Apapa Command.
Speaking further, ACG Ekekezie openly announced the promotion of Abba-Kura to ACG in charge of Customs headquarters.
She said, “This is promotion well deserved. This elevation is based strictly on merit of excellent performance, as we are all witnessing today with the commissioning of these two important projects.
“Apapa Command under Abba-Kura, has taken first position in revenue generation, trade facilitation, health-care and cleaniness.
“We surpassed the revenue target given to us in 2020, and the bulk of the revenue came from Apapa Command.
“Abba-Kura, well done !
well done !! and
well done !!!.
This is the story of a man, who came, saw and conquered”, the Zonal Coordinator enthused.
